Castiglion Fiorentino

The ancient tower of Etruscan age, which is located within the medieval walls, stands out among the wealth of historical and artistic treasures.
The lush green hills on which Castiglion Fiorentino stands, are chosen by many tourists as a holiday destination due to the strategic location of the village: central to visit Cortona, Arezzo, Florence and other major cities and towns in Tuscany.
Worth a visit to Arezzo the mere presence of the frescoes (of extraordinary beauty) of Piero della Francesca, who are in the Duomo.

Cortona
Another important cultural center is Cortona, a town in a wonderful position and with the remains of its impressive ancient Etruscan walls.
A town where it’s really nice to walk, getting lost in the maze of its perfectly preserved medieval streets, between churches rich of splendid works of art, elegant Renaissance palaces, antique shops and places of great charm. Among the interesting places to visit, the Diocesan Museum, where there is the famous Annunciation by Fra Angelico, and the MAEC (Museum of the Etruscan city of Cortona) which displays many artifacts from different areas of the Etruscan area. In the streets that wind in the town center there are also small shops of handicrafts and gastronomy, wine bars and restaurants that form a unique and suggestive path, where is possible to breath the atmosphere of yesteryear.

Impossible not to appreciate the culinary specialties of the Valdichiana; a poor but tasty cuisine that speaks of traditional country and love for their land: Tuscany. Famous throughout the world for its herds of the breed “Chianina”, the Valdichiana is the best place to enjoy a beautiful Florentine steak: prepared and cooked to perfection … strictly to the blood and accompanied by a glass of good wine.
